TNF-Blocker Drugs have risks... we know...

You hate to hear of things like this, but also, ignorance is not bliss. We must be aware that the drugs Charlotte is on, whilst they are doing their job that we need them to do, they also affect her body in a way that causes us to examine every sniffle & sneeze from her.

- They work by suppressing the immune system, which leaves patients vulnerable

All the more reason for someone to finally come up with a functional bubble for our children to live in! I don't envy your position, but just keep doing what you do one moment at a time, a positive attitude and your strong mommy instincts. Hang in there:) K

I saw that release too. There is nothing easy about giving meds to your child that has these risks. The alternative is far more scary than these side effects. If the meds are working we have no choice. All we can hope for is continued research and better drugs that do their job and have fewer side effects.
